Reports to: HSQE Manager. Are you detail-oriented with a passion for quality assurance and inspection? We are looking for an experienced Quality Control / Supervisor to join our team. This role will be instrumental in maintaining quality standards, adhering to inspection protocols, and liaising effectively with project management, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain organized records and oversee office-related tasks associated with quality control; conduct and document internal and external inspections and audits across the company and construction sites; manage all record‑keeping, including NCRs, technical reviews, inspection & test plans, weld management systems, and audits; actively participate in site QA and coordination meetings, contributing insights to enhance project quality; manage and oversee the approval of weld procedure specifications for fabrication and construction departments.
* Perform paint inspections and environmental checks (training will be provided if no experience held); work closely with the project management department to ensure technical oversight is conducted, supplier audits are performed, and required level of quality documents are generated and recorded across inspection programmes; create ITPs assisting project management in accordance with regulatory compliance and client specifications; assist internal departments in collating quality documentation and forming the final quality dossier in accordance with legal and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proven experience in quality control, inspection, and reporting in manufacturing or steel fabrication environments.
* Strong administrative skills with attention to detail for record keeping and audit reporting.
* Ability to liaise with multiple departments internally and externally with excellent communication skills; proficiency in quality assessment techniques.
* Knowledge of ISO 15614 & ISO 9606, procedure creation, and ability to read manufacturing drawings for weld procedure allocation (weld coordination).
* Familiarity with non‑destructive testing (NDT) control.
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to manage and interpret inspection and test plans.
* Knowledge in structural steel fabrication to BS EN 1090 & BS EN ISO 3834 (UKCA Marking).
Salary & Benefits
