Technical Sales Engineer
Location: Basingstoke
Reports To: Managing Director
Salary: £50,000- 70,000 plus bonus

TechPoint is currently looking to add a Technical Sales Engineer to their high-performing team in Basingstoke.
We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, a great team player, and brings proven sales experience in the Electronics Manufacturing industry

Responsibilities of Technical Sales Engineer
Identify and pursue new design-in opportunities with OEMs, design consultancies, and engineering teams.
Build strong relationships with Electronics Design Engineers and technical decision makers to position TechPoint Golledge components as the solution of choice from the earliest design stage.
Work closely with engineering and applications teams to provide technical presentations, demos, and design support.
Lead commercial negotiations and close business, coordinating with internal teams on pricing, lead-times, and contracts.
Represent TechPoint at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings.
We're looking for a Technical Sales Engineer who has:
Proven track record in design-in or new business sales within the electronic components sector (oscillators, crystals, semiconductors, passives, or related).
Technical background (degree/HND in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar) or equivalent experience.
History of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Proactive self-starter with drive, resilience, and ability to work independently.
Willingness to travel extensively within the UK (and occasionally overseas).
