We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to join our team in our premium multi-franchise business as a Motorcycle Parts Advisor. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Parts Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a solid understanding of motorcycle parts & accessories. As a Parts Advisor, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met while providing exceptional service. Your role will involve managing cash transactions efficiently.
Your Role In the role as Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for demonstrating and selling a large range of Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Peugeot Motorcycle parts and accessories.
Duties will include: Interaction with both Trade and Retail customers daily, both over the phone and face-to-face, providing them with information and selling them parts and accessories. Greeting customers warmly and assessing their needs Stock control, including booking in deliveries and returns as well as ordering parts to be delivered to maintain a correct stock level and fulfil customer orders. Picking and packing online and phone orders for posting. Supporting other departments to ensure they can function effectively. Managing customer enquiries and resolving any issues or complaints promptly. Handling cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping. Maintaining a clean and organised workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications Proven experience in customer service, preferably in the automotive industry.
Good mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle parts & accessories
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to upsell products and services effectively.
Experience with cash handling procedures is desirable.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Essential A passion for motorcycles is an absolute must as is the ability to deliver results.
A good technical knowledge of motorcycles together with the ability to communicate clearly with both the workshop and customers. Full clean driving licence. A full motorcycle licence is preferred or CBT certificate as a minimum
Benefits A competitive salary will be awarded to the successful candidate which will fully reflect both qualifications and experience. Up to £35,000 dependant on experience.
Full manufacturer specific training will be provided as necessary.
Work Schedule Working hours are 8.30-17.30 Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday, 8.30- 19.00 Thursday (late nights February to September only) and 8.30-17.00 on Saturday. Job Type: Full-time/Permanent
Work Location: In person - 5-Ways Motorcycles are looking for a full-time Parts Advisor to expand their existing team at their Hull Showroom.
Your Profile Ideally from a previous automotive position, you will have the technical knowledge to be able to advise and accurately identify parts of a motorcycle. A background in retail or stores is also beneficial to the role.
A full driving license is essential, and a motorcycle license is highly desirable, although completion of a CBT certificate is acceptable and a passion for motorcycles is a must!
Beyond this, you will be keen to develop what you know through product updates, hands-on model experience and expert training.
