Role Overview
We are recruiting 5 Resource Advisors to support a short-term waste and recycling project. This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on improving recycling and waste management behaviours across households and businesses in Belfast
Please note: This is not a desk-based admin role — the role involves being out in the community delivering advice, surveys, and awareness activity.
Role Details
* Job Title: Resource Advisor – Admin & Clerical
* Employment Type: Temporary ( 5 weeks initially more than likely longer)
* Start Date: 5 January 2026
* Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 8:00 / 8:30 start)
* Location: Duncrue Industrial Estate, Belfast (BT3 9BP)
Pay Rates
* PAYE: £15.82 per hour
Key Responsibilities
* Provide front-line advice and guidance to households and businesses on recycling and waste management
* Support the rollout of new recycling schemes and initiatives
* Carry out door-to-door engagement, surveys, and data collection
* Use handheld devices and laptops to record and update information
* Resolve customer enquiries from the Customer Hub professionally and efficiently
* Assist with waste management communications, leaflets, and signage
* Support communal waste sites (apartments, HMOs, student accommodation, council buildings)
* Help deploy waste containers and coordinate collections
* Work closely with internal teams to share and receive data
* Represent the council professionally and positively at all times
Essential Requirements
* Full UK driving licence
* Access to a vehicle
* At least 1 year's relevant experience including:
o Face-to-face customer engagement (including challenging situations)
o Data collection, surveys, or service information analysis
o Promotional or awareness activities
* Comfortable working outdoors and independently
* Strong communication and customer service skills
