About the Role
In this vital role, you will work closely with the Safeguarding Manager to maintain a culture of vigilance and care across the academy. You will serve as a key point of contact for concerns, liaising with families, colleagues, and external agencies to provide both Early Help and statutory support. This is a hands‑on position requiring sensitivity and confidence, where your actions will directly contribute to the safety and stability of our most vulnerable students.
Responsibilities
* Casework & Referrals: Respond to disclosures and welfare concerns by making appropriate referrals, ensuring accurate, secure records are maintained, and coordinating Early Help interventions.
* Multi‑Agency Working: Represent the academy at strategy discussions and inter‑agency meetings, contributing to assessments and ensuring agreed actions are implemented effectively.
* Family Outreach: Provide direct support to families, including conducting home visits to offer advice and strategies for resolving issues.
* Operational Support: Support the Safeguarding Manager with statutory compliance, staff training, and act as a primary source of advice for colleagues regarding child protection matters.
