Majestic Wine Norwich is looking for a Trainee Manager.
We are seeking a Trainee Manager to join us as we expand our business in one of our busiest stores. We believe our success stems from our dedicated Majestic people, and there's no better place to start than at the heart of our internal talent pool.
The Role
As a Majestic Trainee Manager, you will undertake a 12-month development program designed to give you comprehensive experience in operational, service, and leadership standards, preparing you to become a future Store Manager. You will follow our career pathway training program with support from your Store Manager to set you up for success.
Key Responsibilities
At Majestic Wine, our Customers are central to everything we do. In this role, you will represent the store, supporting the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience for every customer.
* Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and optimizing KPI performance through targeted plans to exceed targets.
* Deliver exceptional customer service to foster business growth via customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
* Offer personalized VIP concierge services, proactively updating customers on products and tastings.
* Share your passion for our products through knowledgeable selling, managing tasting events, and creating an enticing tasting counter.
* Enhance your wine knowledge continually to support your WSET qualification and confidence in sales.
* Maintain the store's appearance and ensure operational tasks are executed efficiently, including stock deliveries and customer outreach.
* Identify opportunities for operational improvements to enhance store efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with all safety, legal, and internal policies through mandatory training.
* Own your personal development using available resources and support.
* Lead by example, embodying Majestic’s Ways of Working and supporting junior team members, providing feedback to your Store Manager.
Knowledge & Skills Required
* Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
* Ability to deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
* Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills under pressure.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proactive attitude with a passion for resolving issues.
* Resilient and adaptable to changing business needs.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
* Passion for learning about wine; willingness to achieve Level 2 & 3 WSET qualifications.
* Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
