We're now looking for a Marketing Director to lead Runna's Brand, Social channels and in-person activations. In this role, you'll translate Runna's brand narrative and values into compelling content and real-world experiences that drive brand awareness, consideration, and love across our priority markets. Your will lead a team of 15 managing all of: Content Strategy & Execution - Lead content creation and distribution across Runna's owned channels (social media, YouTube, and podcasts). You'll work with Runna’s founders to define what stories we tell and how we tell them. You’ll scale and optimize the reach and engagement for Runna’s content. Brand Activations - Bring Runna's brand to life through race event activations and in-person experiences. You'll create memorable moments that deepen connections with runners and amplify our presence in key running events. Branded Apparel - Own the strategy and execution of Runna's branded merchandise, creating products that runners love to wear and that extend our brand into everyday life and race day success. This role is based in our London office with a hybrid requirement of at least 3 days per week in-office. You'll be a key member of the Runna Leadership Team and have strong accountability to Runna’s Co-Founders, while reporting to Strava's Chief Marketing Officer (based at Strava’s HQ in the US). You’re excited about this opportunity because together with the team, you will: Content Strategy & Execution Manage the team to own end-to-end content strategy and execution across YouTube, social media (Instagram, TikTok, Reddit), and podcast— driving audience growth and deepening engagement with audiences that range from new to running to seasoned runners Lead editorial planning and production calendar, ensuring compelling storytelling that brings Runna's brand to life Build and develop a team that creates incredible content whist pushing the functions to be data driven and set up to scale successfully Brand Activations Lead the team to design and execute memorable brand experiences at race events and other activations that turn participants into Runna advocates Continue to develop race hub/activation strategy, creating moments that amplify Runna's presence in key running events Manage event budgets and logistics to maximize impact and ROI Support the team based in the US and UK to execute events in key markets Branded Apparel & Merchandise Develop apparel and merch strategy that extends Runna's brand into runners' everyday lives and race day success. Create products that runners want to wear for functionality and brand love Oversee product design, development, and production—managing relationships with 3PL partners for fulfillment Own the e-commerce experience and track performance/margins to optimize the business You will be successful here by: Bringing proven marketing expertise - You have a track record of building engaged audiences and driving measurable growth impact through compelling storytelling, real life activation, and merchandise. We’re excited about you because you have: BA/BSC Hons, MBA, or equivalent experience 10 years of marketing experience, including 5-7 years in content marketing and/or brand activation delivering measurable business impact Strong B2C experience, with a preference for those who understand subscription service marketing and can articulate recurring value 3 years leading and developing a content marketing or brand activation team of similar scale (~15-20 team members) A consistent record of successful content marketing, brand activation, and/or apparel/merchandise with measurable results Demonstrated strong partnerships with other Marketing functions (Growth Marketing, Partnerships) and cross-functional partners (Product Management, Finance, Strategy) Fluency with data and consumer insights Deep understanding of the running Expertise within the health and fitness space is preferred, especially running specific expertise Salary and Benefits We’re offering a salary of £120,000 - £130,000 per year, depending on experience, plus participation in Strava's long-term incentive (stock) programs.
