CNC Miller – Hours, Pay and Benefits

* 37 hours per week, 07:00–15:30 Monday to Thursday, 12:00 finish on Fridays.

Essential Candidate Requirements – CNC Miller

* Programming, setting and operating experience of CNC milling machinery – HAAS preferred but not essential.
* Apprentice trained or equivalent background in CNC machining within a production environment.
* Able to work accurately to deadlines.
* Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
* Enthusiastic team player with a can‑do/flexible attitude.
* Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to quality.


Key Responsibilities – CNC Miller (limited to)

* Program, set up and operate CNC milling machines (preferably HAAS) to produce precision‑engineered components.
* Self‑inspect components using manual measuring equipment.
* Create programmes, jigs and fixtures for new components.
* Ensure manufactured parts are produced most efficiently.
* Set up and run multiple machines when component/batch sizes allow.
* Work with the engineering team to resolve technical queries relating to new and existing components.

CNC Miller – Additional Details (Commute & Salary)

* Salary range: £34,000–£36,000.
* Commute from: Nottingham, Derby, Burton upon Trent, Coalville, Loughborough.
* Enhanced company pension of 6.5 %.

* Enhanced annual leave of 34 days + bank holidays (average 36 days).


CNC Setter / Operator / Programmer – Sliding Head

* Permanent role, days and flexible hours.
* Life assurance, company pension, free on‑site parking, bereavement leave.

We are looking for an experienced CNC setter, operator and programmer with sliding head experience to be part of our busy production team. You’ll be a key part of our manufacturing process—ensuring all components are produced accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities – Sliding Head

* Set up, program and operate Citizen L32 sliding head machines.
* Adjust tooling and machine settings as required.
* Diagnose and resolve machine issues using mechanical knowledge.
* Work with a range of metals, including exotic alloys, to produce precision components.
* Maintain tooling and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* Perform accurate measurements using basic maths and precision tools.
* Collaborate with colleagues to meet production targets and uphold quality standards.


Requirements – Sliding Head

* Experience of setter and operating CNC sliding head machines.
* Preferably with programming knowledge.
* Experience with exotic metals beneficial.
* Proficient in micrometers, thread gauges and other precision measuring equipment.


Project Engineer

The role will be office‑based Monday to Friday.


Package and Benefits

* Salary £34,000–£38,000, dependant on experience.
* 39 hours per week, 1 pm finish on Fridays (some flexibility).
* 30 days holiday, increasing to 33 days with service.
* 4× salary – death in service.

Commutable from: Boston, Peterborough, Stamford, Bourne, Wisbech, Grantham, Melton Mowbray.


Role Function

* Manage projects from order to delivery, coordinating cross‑functional teams.
* Provide engineering support, oversee documentation and mitigate risks.
* Ensure clear communication of specifications and functionality.


Key Responsibilities (not limited to)

* Manage full lifecycle of sales contracts, including intercompany projects.
* Organise and facilitate contract review meetings.
* Implement and control project contract variation.
* Identify capacity limitations and explore solutions.
* Provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
* Maintain strong customer relationships.
* Create comprehensive contract specification packs.
* Update production reports for active orders.


Manufacturing Engineer

Salary £45,000–£50,000 (negotiable).

* 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 07:30–16:30, 2 pm finish on Fridays.
* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Candidate Requirements

* Manufacturing Engineer experience within a precision engineering business in a regulated industry.
* Time‑served / NVQ Level 3 / HNC qualification within a precision engineering discipline.
* Excellent knowledge of CNC machining techniques.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience defining methods of manufacture for complex products.
* CAD/CAM experience an advantage.
* Understand complex engineering drawings.
* Competence in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).
* Work unsupervised, using initiative.
* Contract review.
* Deliver project commitments on time.
* Ensure full compliance with the company’s Quality Management System.
* Assist the Document Quality Team with documentation packs for projects.


Engineering Foreman – Machining

* Salary negotiable depending on experience.
* 37.5 hours per week, 08:00–16:00 Monday to Friday.
* Overtime and bonus opportunities.

Commute from: Burton upon Trent, Tamworth, Cannock, Walsall, Lichfield, Burntwood.


Requirements

* Solid engineering background with practical experience.
* CNC machining expertise.
* Organised, proactive and quality‑focused.
* Fabrication/fitting experience a bonus.
* Experience with heavy engineering / castings or foundry advantageous.
* Lead a small engineering team and keep workflow on track.
* Read and work from engineering drawings to precision tolerances.
* Operate CNC milling and lathe machines (medium/large components – utilizing XYZ or Haas).
* Fabricate and fit components where needed.


Installation & Commissioning Engineer

Must be very flexible with regular overseas travel (~70 % UK based).


Key Responsibilities

* Fitting, assembly and testing on shop floor.
* Stripping down machinery ready for delivery.
* Site installation of machinery for overseas customers.

Role commutable from: Burton upon Trent, Tamworth, Cannock, Walsall, Lichfield, Burntwood.


Mechanical Fitter

* 37.5 hours per week, 08:00–16:00 Monday to Friday.
* Initial contract period of 2–3 months (likely to continue).

Commute from: Burton upon Trent, Tamworth, Cannock, Walsall, Lichfield, Burntwood.


Candidate Requirements – Mechanical Fitter

* Experienced in assembling and fitting (marking out, drilling, remedial work).
* Welding and small fabrication skills.
* Fluency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
* Fit bearings, shafts and other parts to acceptable standards.
* Modify or adjust parts with excellent machining and welding ability.
* Use hand and power tools, test equipment and measuring instruments.
* Inspect and check fitted parts and sub‑assemblies.
* Adhere to H&S procedures and SSOW.
* Knowledge of hydraulics & pneumatics engineering.
* Occasional international travel may be required.
* Holding a FLT licence and banksman certificate would be an advantage.


Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement Engineer

* Lead and support New Product Introduction projects.
* Manage tooling orders and trials, including monitoring and pass‑offs.
* Update and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Collaborate with quality team, suppliers and customers to resolve issues.
* Train operators on new methods, tooling and fixtures.
* Obtain budgetary quotations for tooling and equipment.
* Drive Kaizen and lean manufacturing initiatives (SMED, 5S).
* Work with design team on DFM and DFA best practices.
* Lead cost reduction projects and design modifications.
* Participate in Six Sigma projects.
* Prepare labour and tooling estimates for new job costings.


About You

* Experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
* Strong understanding of lean tools and continuous improvement methods.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and Six Sigma methodology desirable.


Customer Experience Manager – Contract (6 months)

* Up to £17.94 per hour (equivalent of £35,000 pro‑rata annual).
* 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday.


Candidate Requirements

* Demonstrable interpersonal skills and confidence to deal with difficult and vulnerable customers.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, spoken, presentational).
* Confidence and effective presentation skills.
* Excellent range of IT skills.
* Confidence and ability to manage workload.
* IT literate, competent in MS Office Suite.
* High level of emotional intelligence.
* Excellent communication skills.


Key Responsibilities (not limited to)

* First point of contact for all customer complaint escalations.
* Work with online marketing and product assessment teams to increase Trustpilot and Google reviews.
* Monitor and develop the external process of the customer journey map.
* Work with quality manager to identify issues and set required standards and improvements.
* Record, monitor, measure and report on all customer related issues (CRIs).
* Offer training, support, coaching and mentoring where required.
* Carry out customer feedback calls for installations.
* Work with operations and business development to provide end‑customer feedback.
* Define better method of measuring customer satisfaction at each step of journey.
* Lead training for staff, working with business development and charity partners.
