Here at GXO, we’re working together with Shepherd Neame and are looking for Driver Mate to join our team in Purfleet (RM19 1TB).
This is a full-time, permanent position,42 hours per week, covering Monday to Friday. Start times vary between 04:00 and 07:00. During peak periods, occasional Saturday shifts may be required, and these will be paid at time and a half.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Assist the driver in navigating routes and ensuring timely deliveries
* Help load and unload goods at various locations, ensuring all items are handled safely and securely
* Assisting in verifying that all items are matched with the proof of delivery (POD) and obtaining delivery signatures from customers
* Engaging with customers in person and internally via telephone
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Willingness to start early and a can-do attitude
* Comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including heavy lifting
* Ability to work closely with the driver and maintain a positive, professional attitude
* Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial but not essential
* Good verbal and written communication skills
