Sue Ross Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a long-standing estate agent in Chesterfield with over 100 years of industry experience in and around Derbyshire and the Peak District. We’re looking for a skilled and organised Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of this busy estate agency. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy, and wants a flexible part‑time role (4 hours per week) within a friendly local business.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Maintaining accurate ledgers and financial records
* Managing income and expenditure entries across the business
* Preparing balance sheets and monthly financial summaries
* Managing high volume invoicing
* Reconciling accounts and supporting year‑end processes
* Liaising with management to provide clear financial insights
* Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal procedures
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role
* Strong understanding of ledgers, balance sheets, and cashflow
* Good working knowledge of accounting software Xero
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
* A positive, professional approach when working with colleagues and clients
This part time role at only 4 hours per week, is a great opportunity for someone who may work part time currently but would like to add to their existing workload.
