Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Monitoring and Diagnostics team, based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. Our mission is to develop state-of-the-art monitoring technologies deployed in electrical substations to help customers understand and optimize the operating condition of their electrical power transformers, circuit breakers and other substation assets.
We are looking for a dynamic and talented individual to join our Industrialization team within the Global Supply Chain division. You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of projects to support the growth of our business, improving and/or developing global supply chain processes, and improving product quality by using lean and Six Sigma approaches and effectively working in a cross-functional environment.
Responsibilities
* Create and manage Total Preventative Maintenance Process
* Drive ownership of the operational transformation of our Warehouse
* Lead the creation and development of standard work processes using lean tools with SQDC+ in mind
* Lead the development and execution of process validation plans, including Design of Experiments (DOE), PFMEA, and statistical process control (SPC)
* Drive collaboration with Materials and Production to create a "One Team" mentality
* Promote a strong Health and Safety culture by driving ergonomics improvements in production cells
* Drive continuous improvement through assembly and test automation
* Create, review and update process documentation as required
* Use problem-solving techniques such as Fishbone and 5-Why to solve production and process issues
* Work with Quality team to maintain standards in relation to ISO 9001
* Collaborate with production teams to provide support in troubleshooting manufacturing problems
* Review production line layout and restructuring
* Support daily production activities
Essential Criteria
* Degree in Engineering/Science (preferably Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical and Mechanical, but all considered)
* Demonstrable experience in successfully reviewing, developing and evaluating manufacturing processes, equipment and systems
* Competency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel
* Demonstrated time management capability
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment or independently on multiple projects with strict completion deadlines
* Good writing skills, accuracy and an eye for detail
* Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
Desired Criteria
* Previous industrial work experience
* Ability to collaborate across various functions and levels within the operations team
* Confident at programming in Excel and managing or developing databases/macros
* Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
* Familiar with programming language such as LabVIEW
* Familiar with general purpose test equipment
* Motivated to eliminate waste
* Enthusiastic and imaginative
