Company Description
City Transport is a leading bus coach company, providing individual coach hire and large-scale passenger movement services across the north of England and beyond. The business partners with the local Passenger Transport Executive and its client a leading University to provide student transport between campus and city centre. We collaborate closely with the rail industry to supply buses and coaches during times of train service disruption.
Role Description
This is a part-time on-site/hybrid role for an Accounts and Payroll Assistant located in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The Accounts and Payroll Assistant will be responsible for managing payroll services, payroll administration, payroll management, and payroll taxes. Additionally, the role involves accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. We use Xero for both accounting and payroll.
Flexibility
The company requires around 14 hours a week of support, but is flexible over how this is delivered; potentially three days of 'school friendly' hours or two 'office hour' days, or four mornings, in each case with the actual days being flexible. Other proposals could be considered. There is also the possibility of adding in some additional hours of office administration if this would be attractive.
The company would also be pleased to consider approaches from experienced persons wishing to set up their own bookkeeping/payroll business, where we might for example be an initial client.
