Lead Façade Technical Expert
The successful candidate will hold technical sign-off at bid stage and at new-order handover, providing clear go/no-go recommendations.
Key responsibilities include early risk identification/quantification; value engineering that remains fully compliant with Building Regulations, CWCT and fire performance;
BUILDING SAfety ACT technical response: Gateway 2/3 evidence, product substantiation, change control and Golden Thread discipline. Line-manage the part-time Technical Manager; influence designers through governance not empire.
About you:
Preqrequisites:
* Senior façade/curtain wall/glazing engineer or technical lead with board-facing gravitas
* Deep knowledge of Building Regulations,CWCT,fire performanceandfaçadesystems(unitised/stick)
,Track record running design assuranceatbid/hand-overwithmeasurablemargin/programmeeffect. Comfortable influencingwithout direct linecontrol (assurance vs programme separation).
