Location: Walsall Council (Remote with occasional on-site requirements)
Working Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Assignment Duration: 5 months, with potential for extension or permanent opportunity About the Role:
Walsall Council is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to support our Construction and Works category. In this role, you will manage end-to-end procurement processes, including open tenders and Frameworks under the Public Contracts Regulations .While the role is primarily remote, you will be required to attend team collaboration days once a month and potentially site meetings as needed. Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead procurement processes for construction and works projects.
2. Ensure compliance with Public Contracts Regulations.
3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Attend occasional on-site meetings and team days.
Requirements:
5. Strong knowledge of the construction sector.
6. Proven experience in end-to-end procurement processes.
7. Familiarity with Public Contracts Regulations and procurement frameworks.
8. Ability to work independently and attend on-site meetings when required.
