The Head of New Openings- Operations & Integrations is a senior leadership role responsible for cross brand operational delivery of new property openings and integrations across the portfolio. It plays a key role to support the General Managers through the process - helping them remain focused and driven. This role leads the operational implementation, integration and business readiness activities required to support successful property openings and operational transitions Working within the wider opening programme led by the Head of New Openings, this role is responsible for ensuring operational execution, team readiness and business integration activities are delivered in line with project timelines, while instilling a culture of operational excellence across all opening teams. This role supports the stabilisation of each property from three months before opening to six months after, ensuring the General Manager has the support needed to complete the project and drive the commercials in line with the feasibility study and market trends. The timelines may vary depending on jurisdiction complexity. The remit also covers acquisition or joint ventures projects where an operating hotel joins the portfolio, leading operational integration of newly acquired properties into Staycity Group operating standards, systems, guest experience expectations and business processes with minimal disruption to guests, team members and trading performance. This is a full time, permanent role, to be based either in Ireland or the UK with frequent travel involved. Act as key point of contact for any integration within our portfolio, lead the operational due diligence and establish list of priorities and critical path. Ensure a detailed financial and commercial plans is in place, from launch of bookings on sale through to soft opening and full trade commencement. Support mitigation and resolution planning for operational risks and dependencies identified within the wider opening programme. Coordinate operational implementation activities relating to third-party systems, operational setup and business readiness requirements. Coordinate operational support teams and mobilisation resources required during pre-opening and stabilisation phases. Manage their schedule and availability to ensure high impact and establish a clear mission while on site. Operational Execution and Readiness Lead implementation of operational standards, SOPs and brand operating procedures across all opening properties. Coordinate operational department readiness across Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Food & Beverage operations where applicable. Ensure operational teams are trained, mobilised and fully prepared for opening and early trading activity; in areas including but not limited to H&S, Fire Safety, Licensing, other regulatory requirements. Coordinate operational testing, scenario planning and soft opening exercises prior to launch. Support General Managers in transitioning properties from mobilisation phase into stable trading operations. People & Team Leadership Partner with the people team and General Manager to recruit, onboard, and induct opening teams. Collaborate with the Brand Operations team for each brand to design and deliver property-specific training programmes aligned to brand standards and service values. Build and nurture a high-performing pre-opening culture, coaching and mentoring opening General Managers. Act as a cultural ambassador for the brands throughout the pre & post opening period. Commercial & Brand Alignment Work with the Commercial team to support sales & marketing launch activity, including show room readiness and photography shoots. Ensure all revenue systems (channel manager, rate structures, booking engine) are configured according to brand standards and guest journeys, and are tested ahead of opening. Collaborate with the Brand & Design team to ensure all properties open fully aligned to brand identity guidelines. Support the development of opening budgets and manage pre-opening expenditure against approved budgets. Post-Opening Stabilisation Ownership Support operational performance stabilisation during the first six months following opening. Monitor operational readiness outcomes and implement corrective actions where required. Support General Managers in embedding operational standards, service delivery expectations and commercial objectives post opening. Coordinate operational reviews and performance feedback during stabilisation periods. Knowledge Management & Continuous Improvement Maintain a centralised operational pre-opening playbook, continuously evolving it based on lessons learned from each opening.
