We are recruiting graduates to join our Planning Consultancy & Infrastructure Planning teams across locations in the UK. The programme offers two-year development with hands-on experience on landmark projects, mentoring, and opportunities to pursue professional accreditation.
Responsibilities
* Work on planning consultancy projects across sectors (residential, education, healthcare, logistics, industrial, retail, defence) from initial site appraisal to securing planning consent and supporting construction.
* Contribute to infrastructure planning by supporting planning applications, site appraisals, transport and utility studies, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams (ecologists, engineers, heritage specialists, hydrologists).
* Engage with communities and stakeholders, prepare planning statements and supporting documents, and assist in discharging planning conditions during delivery.
* Assist in drafting planning documents, conducting feasibility studies, researching local and national policy, and creating concise briefs for project teams.
* Support project management and budgeting on smaller projects, and collaborate within planning teams on larger schemes.
* Maintain project trackers, monitor deadlines, and identify risks or resource needs; use GIS mapping and visualisations to support recommendations.
Projects and Learning
Graduates will work on a portfolio of nationally significant schemes, with assignments varying by office and interests. Examples of work include early-stage consents and consultation strategies for energy projects, active travel schemes, and water resource planning.
Programme & Development
Graduate Development Programme: two-year blended learning with core business and professional training, mentoring for professional registration, networking opportunities, and extensive on-the-job experience.
What we look for: graduates with at least a 2:2 master’s degree (RTPI accredited) in a relevant subject. You should demonstrate enthusiasm for planning & consulting, the built environment, and collaboration across teams.
