Overview
We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our friendly and collaborative central finance team at Jordans Cereals. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role plays a key part in ensuring our financial reporting and regulatory compliance are robust and reliable. You’ll work in a fast-paced, supportive environment with regular exposure to senior stakeholders, offering plenty of opportunity to build your influence, develop your expertise, and make a real impact on the business.
Key Accountabilities
* Preparing all aspects of our financial reporting, including managing the internal financial reporting, consolidating legal entities, submitting Group reporting to the parent company and building overseas Branch financials
* Working with internal and external business partners to ensure we are reporting in line with GAAP & our Financial Control Framework
* Working closely with our inter-company shared service centre to ensure a good service across the accounting services team
* Management of Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Key Controls, ensuring these are performed periodically, updating control accounts in a timely manner
* Assistance with internal and external audit
* Providing financial information to management by compiling and presenting reports, assisting with budgets and forecasting, business plans and financial statements
* Working with the Finance Manager to improve the organisation’s documentation of policies and procedures to enhance the quality and streamline the financial reporting within the group
* Supporting on all aspects of Treasury – hedging FX risk and managing bank accounts
* Responsible for all areas of tax, working with ABF and the finance manager to ensure that we remain compliant and managing our tax effectively
