Job responsibilities Carry out advanced specialist pharmacist responsibilities in your specific field. Implement highly specialised knowledge for patient care in a designated setting, contribute to clinical service development, create protocols or guidelines, conduct audits or research, provide pharmaceutical expertise, and advocate for cost-effective medication use among healthcare professionals. When accredited as a non-medical prescriber, manage the clinical treatment and medication for assigned patients Deliver formal training and education on medication use and management to Pharmacy staff, other healthcare professionals (such as nurses, doctors, and medical students), and patients, particularly in your area of specialism and upon request from the education lead Conduct risk assessments as required by the Principal Pharmacist(s) In the absence of the Principal Pharmacist(s) or the responsible pharmacist, organise or update the weekly service coverage schedule. Address issues requiring senior-level intervention when you are the most senior pharmacist present on site. Participate in necessary training to maintain and enhance your clinical or technical specialist knowledge in your chosen field Be involved in the provision and expansion of pharmaceutical services at Warrington Hospital, Halton Hospital, and other facilities receiving services from the Pharmacy Department under service level agreements.
