This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for developing and delivering an ambitious resourcing vision that ensures we attract, mobilise and retain a high‑quality, flexible workforce that supports safe, sustainable services.
Working closely with senior leaders, you will drive innovation in recruitment for all staff groups to include senior appointments and temporary staffing. As we move towards a Group‑wide operating model, you will play a key role in reshaping how we attract and deliver a positive journey to join us across the sites, ensuring modern, inclusive and data‑led practices.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced resourcing leader who thrives in a complex, fast‑paced environment and is motivated by making a tangible difference to staff experience, service quality and long‑term workforce sustainability.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you’ll lead and develop resourcing teams across the Group, implement innovative sourcing strategies for hard‑to‑fill roles, and enhance candidate experience, time to hire and onboarding processes. You will also be responsible for delivering a compliant, cost‑effective temporary workforce service.
Using workforce data and forecasting, you’ll support informed decision‑making and work closely with Divisions, HR Business Partners and clinical leaders as a trusted advisor on all resourcing matters. You will manage relationships with external suppliers, ensuring strong performance against KPIs, and provide expert guidance on policy, governance and regulatory compliance.
Above all, you will foster a high‑performing, inclusive culture within the Resourcing function and lead the team to deliver excellent results.
The role will include travel between the three Care Organisations, with most of the time spent at the base location. The post-holder will be expected to work at one of the other two sites one day per week.
Working for our organisation
We are proud to be part of BSW Hospitals Group – a formal partnership between Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. With a combined workforce of over 17, 600 colleagues, and budget of 1.6 billion the Group is united by a common purpose to deliver the best possible care to over 1 million people.
We are creating a health and care system that works with the people we care for, reducing the differences people currently face in access, experience and outcomes, improving the experience of our colleagues and tackling shared challenges like sustainability and finances. Every improvement we make across our Group will be guided by what creates the greatest benefit for our colleagues, our patients, our communities and our partners.
