Coordinate and control airfield support equipment maintenance in a critical aviation environment.
The role
As an Airfield Equipment Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organising and monitoring the maintenance of Airfield Support Equipment to ensure operational requirements are met safely and efficiently. Working closely with maintenance teams and management, you’ll prioritise scheduled and unscheduled tasking, manage documentation and records, and highlight risks or issues to ensure timely resolution.
Day-to-day, you will be:
* Planning and prioritising scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to meet airfield and operational demands.
* Coordinating maintenance tasking with trade team leads and monitoring progress against plan.
* Controlling maintenance documentation, equipment records and transfer paperwork in line with regulatory requirements.
* Identifying risks, constraints and emerging issues, escalating to maintenance management where required.
* Producing planning and performance information to support effective decision‑making.
This is a full‑time, onsite role, working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08:00–16:15).
Essential Experience
* Proven experience planning and controlling maintenance schedules for Airfield Support Equipment or similar industrial plant.
* Experience coordinating scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities within a regulated environment.
* Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
* Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications
Engineering‑related qualification such as City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, BTEC Level 3 or equivalent.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
