The Role
As Financial Accountant, you will play a key part in strengthening financial controls, supporting month‑end delivery, and contributing to statutory and group reporting. You'll support the FC and senior leadership team during an exciting phase of investment and transformation.
Key responsibilities include:
6. Supporting monthly financial reporting, including preparation of key schedules and consolidation for group reporting.
7. Identifying and implementing improvements to financial controls, processes and systems.
8. Assisting with statutory accounts and tax packs.
9. Supporting compliance with accounting standards including IFRS.
10. Working with internal and external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
11. Preparing insightful commentary on variances and performance.
12. Reviewing and approving payment runs.
13. Partnering with wider teams on finance transformation and change projects
About You
We're looking for someone who is technically strong, curious, proactive and ready to take their next step outside practice.
You will ideally have:
14. ACA/ACCA/CA qualification
15. Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS advantageous, but not essential).
16. Experience in statutory accounts, audit or assurance.
17. Excellent Excel and systems literacy.
18. A continuous improvement mindset.
19. Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.
20. A positive, can‑do attitude with a desire to learn and take ownership.
