Duties
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and presentation standards.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth operations.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
* Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Develop new menu items and specials, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
* Conduct training sessions for kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong knowledge of food production processes, cooking techniques, and presentation styles.
* Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing a team effectively.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for cooking with a creative flair for developing new dishes.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
* Previous experience in restaurant settings is highly desirable.
