Network Engineer We are looking for a Junior Network Engineer who wants to move past "general IT" and dive deep into the world of routing, switching, and industrial connectivity. You wont be fixing laptops; youll be the backbone of our data flow, ensuring our infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure. Key Requirements: Respectable knowledge of the OSI model and TCP/IP. Solid grasp of IPv4/IPv6 addressing, CIDR notation, and hierarchical network addressing schemes. Hands-on experience with managed switches. A passion for documentation and network mapping. CCNA or equivalent study/certification is a plus. Role Purpose The Junior Network Engineer will assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our local and wide area network (LAN/WAN) infrastructure. This role focuses strictly on the connectivity layer, ensuring high availability and performance for both corporate and industrial environments. Key Responsibilities Network Deployment & Maintenance Configure and install network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Monitor network performance and integrity using tools like SNMP, Wireshark. Perform firmware updates and patches on critical network infrastructure. Troubleshooting & Optimization Diagnose and resolve Layer 1, 2, and 3 connectivity issues. Assist in optimizing network traffic flow and VLAN segmentation. Troubleshoot hardware-specific constraints, managing channel limitations and port density on industrial units. Documentation & Security Maintain accurate network diagrams and port maps. Assist in enforcing network security policies (ACLs, VPNs, and Port Security. Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for network changes. Technical Skills & Qualifications Networking Fundamentals: Deep understanding of VLANs, STP, DHCP, and DNS. Hardware Familiarity: Experience with enterprise-grade or industrial hardware. Protocols: Familiarity with common routing protocols. Education: A degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
