DDA performs a wide spectrum of media relations, publicity, event management (through DDA Event Management) and marketing tasks, either globally or targeted to specific international markets. Festival and market experiences include the Sundance, Berlin, SXSW, Tribeca, Cannes, Venice, Telluride, Toronto, London and Dubai film festivals (among others).
Our UK Publicity team are looking for an ambitious, creative, and committed London Film Festival Assistant to join DDA. You must have a serious interest in the entertainment and public relations business within the film, television and entertainment industry. With us, you will quickly become a crucial contributor to our team. As an LFF Assistant, you are a driven and proactive member of the LFF team, working side-by-side with the LFF Team Assistant to support the rest of the team in handling press RSVPs as well as coverage reporting for the BFI London Film Festival. You’ll be available to work all major events throughout the festival and will report into the Vice President of the UK Publicity department. We work closely with our assistants to be sure that their personal needs are met, and do our best to ensure they are getting the most out of their experience.
Key learning and responsibilities
* Fine-tune the basics of coverage reporting and associated media monitoring tasks
* Become comfortable performing administrative tasks and aid in general office support
* Understand PR communications on a global level
* Experience day-to-day operations of a public relations agency, providing on-the-ground support as required
* Involvement in premieres, press conferences, junkets and talks as directed by the Head of Press and LFF Team
* Maintain reports and other documents as requested by members of the team
* Handle press RSVPs for key media events throughout the course of the festival
* Become familiar with industry outlets and journalists
* Gain a deeper understanding of the film industry
Knowledge, skills, and experience
* A passion for cinema and television as well as a keen interest in publicity

* Ability to multi-task and stay organized to meet multiple deadlines

* Excellent time management and able to manage priorities effectively
* Pro-active & intuitive
* Proficient in basic presentation software, as well as Microsoft packages and Google Docs
