IPS are working closely alongside a leading specialty insurer in their search for an Analyst to join the team at a Senior level, largely focusing on Marine.
You will have the opportunity to work closely alongside Underwriting teams on a Portfolio level and play an active role in reporting and presenting modelling results to help guide the business’ decision-making process and overall view of risk. You will have the chance to help oversee the training and development of a junior analyst, making this a great opportunity to develop managerial skills and qualities. Working in a close-knit and collaborative analytics team, this opportunity is well suited to professionals who are eager to develop their skills in catastrophe analytics.
To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:
1. Proven catastrophe modelling experience using a recognised vendor model (Verisk/AIR preferred but others considered)
2. Strong knowledge of SQL and other visualisation tools such as Power BI being advantageous.
3. Clear and confident communicator who can work independently and as part of a wider team.
