What you'll be doing:
* Performing daily client money reconciliations, ensuring accuracy between internal records and external statements.
* Investigating and resolving reconciliation discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
* Executing manual journal entries and support financial month-end close processes.
* Preparing CMAR (Client Money and Asset Return) and supporting regulatory submissions.
* Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure ledger integrity and regulatory compliance.
* Proactively identify risks, escalating potential CASS 7 breaches as required.
* Assisting with audits, reporting packs, and tax reconciliation processes, including payments to HMRC.
* Maintaining compliance with Consumer Duty obligations.
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience in reconciliations or finance operations, ideally in a regulated environment
* An understanding of FCA CASS 7 rules (client money) and how they apply to both reconciliation and operations
* Accountancy qualification or studying towards the qualification, or qualified by experience
* Any formal qualifications in financial services regulations
* A Solid grasp of accounting principles and financial controls
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas)
* Strong communication skills and stakeholder management
* Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines under pressure
