This is a senior role responsible for ensuring the smooth running of PrimeFlight’s airside and landside operations. The Operations Supervisor directly oversees the on-shift aircraft dispatchers to manage safe, efficient and customer-centric handling of aircraft. This role supports the Back of House Duty Manager to manage aircraft, staff and GSE movement as well as acting as the central point of contact for all airport and airline stakeholders. The Operations Supervisor will have exceptional knowledge and experience within the aviation industry and be able to effectively manage many concurrent tasks whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail. The Operations Supervisor will be held accountable for all points stipulated in the responsibilities and scope of work checklist, which includes the performance of the dispatchers whom are directly managed by the Operations Supervisor on each shift. Role Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining a safe airside operation. Responsibility for day-to-day management of the Operations and Dispatch Team including but not limited to supporting the employees on shift, allocation and monitoring of employee duties, co-ordinating and supporting all operational departments. Lead, motivate, manage and hold to account the team of aircraft dispatchers. Responsibility for ensuring sufficient coverage and allocation of aircraft dispatchers to fully satisfy operational requirements. Delegate and distribute dispatchers efficiently to maximise staff utilisation and manage business cost. Assists the Duty Manager with the day to day running of the operation, to include but not limited to: employee rosters; sickness and lateness administration; GSE checks and servicing; office cleanliness and maintenance etc. Responsibility for disseminating and controlling the flow of operational information to all relevant stakeholders, including but not limited to: flight delays; weather disruptions; operational constraints; staff resourcing; overtime coverage/ requirements; GSE maintenance reports; and accountable delays etc. Responsibility for ensuring all daily tasks and audits are carried out accurately. The includes: Flight File Checks; AAA compliance; Aircraft Weight & Balance/ Dispatch process; daily GSE checks; and turnaround audits. Responsibility for delay investigation and reporting, including providing accurate reports and delay codes to managers and client airlines. Liaise with airport stakeholders to ensure smooth running of the entire PrimeFlight operation. Promptly answer and action phone calls/ emails. Ensure all safety and security policies are adhered to and report any deviations promptly. Ensure all airline documentation (including flight files, loadsheets and checklists) are complete, accurate and stored correctly. Monitor compliance with airline Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and take action to ensure sufficient labour and GSE resources are provided for each flight. Promptly report any incident/ near miss through the applicable PrimeFlight reporting channels and escalation pathway. Provide clear, accurate and prompt responses to client airline queries. This may include: conducting investigations; amending flight schedules; providing incident/ delay reports; and identifying root causes/ corrective actions for incidents or failures. Wear the specified PrimeFlight uniform in accordance with uniform regulations. Operate passenger boarding bridges (subject to applicable training). Operate airside vehicles (subject to applicable training). Operate the ground-to-air radio. Operate: airline Departure Control Systems (DCSs); airport/ airline Baggage Reconciliation Systems (BRSs); SITA Type-B messaging systems; and any other system required. Carry out weight and balance/ load control/ dispatch functions. Carry out any other reasonable request made by PrimeFlight. What were looking for? 2 years’ experience in the aviation industry, preferably within airport operations. Exceptional written and oral communication skills (in English). 1-2 years’ experience as a turnaround coordinator, aircraft dispatcher, operations controller, load controller or similar is desirable Weight and balance, dispatcher or turnaround coordinator licence (current or expired). Other aviation accreditations/ licences, such as: radio operator licence; pilot’s licence; dispatcher accreditation. Experience within customer service. Experience within ramp operations. Sound mathematics skills. Strong people management skills, including enacting performance management. Full and unrestricted driver’s licence. Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks accurately and safely. Ability to operate passenger boarding bridges. Ability to operate airside vehicles. Ability to operate airline DCSs and airport operational systems. Understanding of loadsheets and SITA Type-B messages Why Join Us?
