Day Shifts
Key Responsibilities:
Personal Care - Assisting with washing, dressing, grooming, and maintaining personal hygiene.
Medication Management - Administering or assisting with medication according to care plans and policies.
Mobility Support - Helping residents move around safely, including transferring them from bed to wheelchair, or assisting with walking.
Meal Assistance and Feeding - assisting with eating, assisting with hydration and ensuring proper nutrition.
Household Tasks - Performing light housekeeping duties like laundry, cleaning, and tidying.
Companionship - Providing social interaction, emotional support, and a listening ear.
Monitoring Health: Observing and reporting any changes in a residents physical or mental health to relevant colleagues and healthcare professionals.
Assistance with Activities - Helping residents participate in activities they enjoy, such as hobbies, social events, and outings.
Updating Care Plans: Ensuring that changes in the needs of residents are passed on to the nursing and management team of the home.
Following Care Plans: Adhering to specific care plans developed to meet individual needs.
Communication: Effectively communicating with the resident, their family, medical professionals and other members of the home team.
