POSITION OVERVIEW A consultant adult general psychiatrist is sought for a full time permanent position with a community psychiatry service which provides a range of services for people aged 18-65 with moderate to severe mental health difficulties. Duties: work in multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists assess, diagnose and treat patients referred to the service participate on on call rota educate and supervise resident doctors Remuneration ASMS Scale salary for 40 hour work week plus additional on call allowances superannuation 6 weeks annual leave relocation package for international physicians Professional Requirements FRANZCP or equivalent qualification Vocationally registered in Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) or hold equivalent qualification and be able qualify for registration with MCNZ.
