The Role
You will be responsible for cutting, joining, and assembling metal components using a range of welding techniques. Working with both manual and semi automatic equipment, you'll ensure assemblies are produced accurately, safely, and efficiently.
Key tasks include:
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and measurements
Selecting the correct welding method and equipment for each job
Setting up and aligning components for welding
Performing MIG/TIG welding on a variety of metals
Cutting materials using powered saws to match specifications
Maintaining equipment to ensure safe operation
Following production schedules and Work to Lists
Completing internal Work Orders accurately via the company ERP system
Supporting general production activities when required
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work areaThis list is not exhaustive; duties may evolve in line with business needs.

Skills & Attributes
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques
Understanding of metallurgy (advantageous but not essential)
Commitment to safe working practices
Experience & Qualifications
Experience in MIG and/or TIG welding
Experience working with stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium (advantageous)
Fabrication experience, including reading drawings and assembling/welding components
Ability to select appropriate materials and consumables for each job
Professional welding certification beneficial but not required
Proficient in English
