What will you be doing?
As a Stress engineer, you will join our team in Stevenage to support our activities within the Space sector.
Your main responsibilities will be:
* Perform detailed stress analysis using finite element analysis (FEA) software and other engineering tools.
* Evaluate mechanical components and systems for strength, stiffness, and fatigue resistance
* Identify potential failure modes and develop mitigation strategies.
* Develop and implement testing procedures to validate analysis results.
Who are we looking for?
* Previous experience in mechanical stress analysis, preferably in the space or aerospace industry.
* Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) software such as ANSYS, Nastran, or Abaqus.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of structural mechanics, materials science, and fatigue analysis.

Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
