Your Role
As a Business Development Representative, you will:
* Learn our solutions. Develop a strong understanding of Digital Carbon’s connectivity and security services so you can clearly articulate our value proposition and handle customer questions and objections.
* Research and prospect. Identify and research target companies and key decision makers. Use phone, email, social media (e.g. LinkedIn Sales Navigator) and other tools to generate new business leads and build a high-quality sales pipeline.
* Qualify and schedule. Engage prospects to understand their IT/network needs and qualify their interest. Schedule qualified meetings and demo appointments with decision makers at targeted organisations.
* Hit targets. Meet or exceed daily and weekly activity and outreach goals. Deliver a consistent flow of well-qualified opportunities for the sales team.
* Maintain CRM data. Accurately record all activities, contacts, and account details in our CRM to ensure up-to-date pipeline information.
* Collaborate. Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and technical teams to refine messaging, share market feedback, and support strategic outreach initiatives.
Requirements
* Motivated self-starter. Positive and energetic phone presence, with strong listening, written and verbal communication skills. You enjoy learning new technologies and talking with people.
* Organised and data-driven. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a focus on customer success. You use data (call metrics, pipeline status, etc.) to track and improve your performance. Familiarity or interest in IT networking, SD-WAN or cybersecurity is a plus.
* Team player. Comfortable working in a high-energy, fast-paced sales team environment. You are collaborative and support your colleagues to achieve team goals.
* Multitasker. Able to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic remote work setting. You manage your time effectively on the two workdays each week.
