Overview
JN Bentley is looking for enthusiastic and positive Groundworks Working Foreman to work on construction sites in the Thames Valley area. You will be 'on the tools' working on the ground and supervising several gangs on civils sites predominantly within the water and/or heavy civils industry, ideally with water and structures experience. A proactive attitude towards work and health and safety is required, with ideally experience working within the water industry and general civil work, concreting and pipe laying.
Responsibilities
* On-site supervision of several gangs on civils projects, primarily water and heavy civils
* Contribute to health and safety practices on site
* Assist budgeting and forecasting
* Assist in creating and understanding risk and method statements
* Assist in daily briefings, site inductions, method statement rollout and progress meetings
* Knowledge of permits to work
Qualifications / Requirements
* Experience managing gangs on civils projects
* Positive attitude with high health and safety standards
* Current CSCS, CPCS or NPORS
* SSSTS or SMSTS
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Comfortable using IT systems
* Experience assisting budgeting and forecasting
* Experience assisting in risk and method statements
* Experience assisting in daily briefings, inductions, method statement rollout and progress meetings
* Knowledge of permits to work
