Overview
Customer Delivery Driver, Supermarket Assistant role at Waitrose & Partners. You’ll deliver Waitrose produce and partner-led service to customers’ doors, while supporting in-store tasks when not on the road.
Key Responsibilities
* Checking your delivery routes for the day.
* Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together and can be efficiently delivered directly to customers.
* Completing appropriate vehicle safety checks and maintaining road compliance and health and safety standards.
* Representing the Waitrose brand on the road with a focus on excellent customer service.
* Assisting customers with their shopping and building rapport based on trust and service.
* Supporting the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
Essential skills/experience
* Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Great customer service skills.
* Time management skills.
* Ability to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g., lifting crates, moving cages).
* Ability to work independently with self-motivation and adaptability.
* IT literate.
Desirable skills/experience
* Previous experience in a driving role and knowledge of chilled vehicles would be welcomed.
