About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Waking Nights Family Support Worker to join our team in providing practical and emotional support to families living in our residential setting. you will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing environment where parents and children can thrive and build positive relationships.
This position requires a strong commitment to helping families navigate challenges and access necessary resources.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide practical and emotional support overnight to families in our residential home.
* Work alongside parents to remove barriers, develop parenting skills and routine.
* Monitor and record progress in line with care and support plans.
* Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, educators, and healthcare providers.
* Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress made with families.
* Contribute to assessments to identify the needs of families and create tailored support plans.
About You:
* Experience working with children and families in a residential or similar setting.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with families.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
* A calm, patient and non-judgemental approach.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Problem-solving skills to address challenges faced by families effectively.
* Empathy and patience in dealing with sensitive situations.
* Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce (or equivalent)
