Overview
Home Delivery Driver role delivering groceries with a 3.5 tonne van, providing a high-quality doorstep experience for customers. When not on deliveries, you will support the store team as needed. The role is fast-paced, physical and requires flexible, proactive work across store duties.
Responsibilities
* Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps, on-time and in good condition.
* Completing pre-drive checks to ensure the van is clean, roadworthy and that delivery cases are secure.
* Drive safely in a variety of locations and conditions while adhering to road rules and company policies.
* Serve customers by addressing questions, handling substitutions, and communicating any delays.
* Build knowledge about products, services and promotions to provide recommendations.
* Support the store team as needed when not out making deliveries.
* Proficiently drive large vehicles in different environments, from busy streets to narrow lanes, delivering to various residential properties.
* Work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, using initiative to solve problems and thrive both independently and as part of a team.
* Be flexible and willing to learn new skills; participate in training to develop and try new tasks.
* Be comfortable learning to use new digital tools and technology to perform tasks, including moving shopping containers up to 15 kg.

Eligibility
* You must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.
* You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview and, if successful, a driving assessment when you join us.
* You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
