Overview
We are seeking an experienced Dispatch Manager to oversee our logistics operations and ensure efficient transportation management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, along with a solid understanding of supply chain processes. This role is critical in coordinating shipping and receiving activities while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Duties
* Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
* Utilise transportation management systems to optimise routing and scheduling.
* Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to enhance service efficiency.
* Conduct data entry tasks related to shipping and receiving documentation.
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain team for replenishment.
* Analyse logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
* Maintain effective communication with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
* Provide training and support to dispatch staff on best practices.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics management role.
* Familiarity with transportation management systems and AS400 software.
* Knowledge of supply chain processes and 3PL operations is advantageous.
* Strong analysis skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
* Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail.
* Experience with SyteLine or similar ERP systems is preferred.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
