Role: Specialist Nurse Prescriber - Primary Care
Shift Times: Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours
Salary: Up to £58,000 depending on experience
Please note this role is based onsite.
As a Specialist Nurse Prescriber, you will work as part of the Primary Care Team. Within the clinic, you will have a support network but with the autonomy to provide general nursing services for patients, working closely with GPs, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare team members, referring to a GP when necessary.
This role is varied and engaging, with daily responsibilities including appointments and clinics to address diverse healthcare needs. You will deliver high-quality nursing care, acting as a practitioner and taking full responsibility for patient care, including assisting medical professionals and managing cases independently.
* Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, integrating drug and nondrug treatment methods into management plans
* Advise on overseas travel and vaccinations
* Carry out flu vaccination programs at the practice
* Coordinate and participate in health promotion days
* Undertake vision screening for clinics
Requirements:
* Demonstrate specialist knowledge and advanced skills
* Experience in maintaining accurate medical records, electronic or hard copy
* RGN, NMC registered with PIN
* Completion of Independent Prescribing Course is essential
* Relevant experience with minor injuries, ear irrigation, cervical screening, travel health, and venepuncture
