PBS Practitioner – Adult Learning Disabilities
Location: Hybrid with travel across South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire
Hours: Full time permanent (40hrs/week)
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 + £5000 car allowance
Must have a qualification in Positive Behaviour Support and own car
Remit
Compass Associates is proudly working with a well-established provider of residential and supported living services for adults, to recruit a full-time permanent PBS Practitioner.
This is a hybrid role where you will be required to visit services across South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire, to work with adults who have backgrounds of learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. You will carry out assessments and implement intervention strategies, using PBS principles, in addition to providing support during crisis situations, transitions into/out of services and developing improvement and quality support plans. As a PBS specialist, you will also deliver internal training for support staff on topics including PBS and reducing restrictive practice.
You will be part of a wider PBS Team of six Practitioners, who each cover a different geographical remit, and be supported by the National PBS Manager.
Location
The successful candidate must be based in the East Midlands or South Yorkshire area as you will be visiting services across these regions. Services are commutable from Sheffield, Doncaster, Tamworth, Derby, Nottingham, Mansfield, Worksop, Retford, Alfreton, Rotherham, Burton upon Trent and surrounding areas.
The Candidate
Essential criteria:
* Recognised degree in Positive Behaviour Support
* Significant experience working as a PBS Practitioner with adults who have autism spectrum conditions and/or learning disabilities
* Driving licence and own car
Interview Process
This will be a 2 stage interview process which will include an initial Teams meeting with the PBS Manager, followed by a formal interview at one of the services.
