Regional Operations Director – New Installations & Modernisation (London & South‑East)

Join the Schindler Group, a global leader in vertical transportation, as a Regional Operations Director overseeing the delivery of new installations and modernisation projects across London and the South‑East. In this role you will manage a high‑performance team, drive quality and safety excellence, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of project managers and field managers to deliver new installation and modification projects from design through to handover.
* Drive the adoption of Schindler core values, people and product safety standards, and quality KPIs across all projects.
* Actively manage, develop and train the team to meet objectives of quality, productivity, efficiency and customer orientation.
* Prepare the budgeting process, maintain monthly revenue and profitability forecasts, and mitigate deviations from budget.
* Lead project reviews to ensure delivery within budget and schedule, implementing mitigation actions when required.
* Maximise project profitability by managing a detailed variation and change‑order process.
* Develop and maintain a capacity and labour allocation plan for efficient business delivery.
* Collaborate with subcontractor management and procurement to identify and implement cost savings.
* Support tenders with key customers, including costing and mid‑post tender presentations.
* Build and maintain relationships with key customers, main contractors, developers and consultants.
* Ensure compliance and keep critical systems updated (Supervisor App, Fulfilment Plus, ERP, DMS).
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree level education, preferably in Engineering.
* Strong knowledge of SAP reporting functions.
* Proven experience with FF+ quality management.
* Track record of developing and implementing business process improvements.
* Experience in training and coaching teams.
* Thorough knowledge of design and construction processes with ability to translate specification issues into solutions.
* 3–5 years of site management experience (desired).
* Proven project management experience with MS Project.
* Excellent communication, leadership and financial acumen.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK.
