Position Description
The HR Generalist - Faculty Recruitment is responsible for managing and supporting the recruitment process for faculty and professional positions at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC). This role ensures that faculty search committees and hiring departments adhere to institutional policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation requirements. The position requires a strong understanding of complex hiring laws and policies, along with the ability to apply them appropriately throughout the recruitment process. The HR Generalist must be proactive, highly organized, and responsive, providing guidance and support to hiring managers, search committees, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely and high-quality hiring decisions. This position plays a key role in reducing hiring time frames, improving the candidate experience, and maintaining compliance while supporting institutional hiring goals.
Major/Essential Functions
* Manage full-cycle recruitment for faculty and professional positions, ensuring compliance with institutional policies, state and federal laws, and accreditation requirements.
* Guide and support search committees and academic departments to ensure faculty recruitment processes align with TTUHSC policies, equal employment opportunity (EEO) regulations, and best practices.
* Provide training and consultation to hiring managers and search committees on recruitment policies, documentation requirements, and compliance standards.
* Develop and implement proactive sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates through networking, referrals, job boards, and industry outreach.
* Ensure appropriate documentation of search processes, including applicant pool reviews, interview selection criteria, and hiring decisions, to maintain compliance and audit readiness.
* Maintain ongoing communication with hiring managers, search committees, and candidates to facilitate an efficient and professional recruitment experience.
* Oversee multiple searches simultaneously, managing priorities and ensuring timely execution of recruitment processes.
* Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance recruitment efficiency, reduce hiring time frames, and ensure quality hiring outcomes.
* Utilize applicant tracking systems and recruitment data to monitor trends, track hiring progress, and generate reports for leadership.
Required Qualifications
* Requires a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of related experience OR a combination of education/experience to equal 7 years.
