Central London (Projects across London & M25) | £65,000 – £80,000 + Company Vehicle / Allowance + Benefits
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Site Manager, Mechanical Supervisor, or Mechanical Project Manager to join a respected Mechanical Building Services contractor delivering mechanical building services projects ranging from small works through to larger multi-million pound projects across London and surrounding areas.
The role would particularly suit a strong Mechanical Supervisor or Mechanical Site Manager looking to take the next step into a Project Manager role, while remaining closely involved with site delivery.
The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical installations across healthcare, student accommodation and commercial refurbishment projects. Known for its supportive leadership team and practical delivery-focused culture, the company provides genuine autonomy on site together with strong senior support when needed.
Projects are located across Central London and the wider M25 corridor.
The Role – Mechanical Project Manager / Mechanical Site Manager
This is a predominantly site-based, roaming role focused on managing the installation and delivery of mechanical building services projects across London and surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing mechanical installations on site, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.
Depending on project size and complexity, the role may involve managing a single larger project or overseeing multiple smaller projects at any one time.
The position is offered on a permanent basis, and would suit someone looking to join a stable and growing contractor where they can build a long-term career.
The Projects
Projects typically include healthcare environments, student accommodation and commercial refurbishment projects.
Mechanical installations commonly include:
* Central plantroom installations
* Heating and cooling systems
* HVAC installations
* Pipework and plumbing services
* Heat Interface Units (HIUs)
* Radiators and heating systems
* Mechanical services within refurbished buildings
Project sizes vary from smaller works through to larger multi-million pound projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing day-to-day mechanical site activities
* Coordinating mechanical subcontractors and installation teams
* Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme
* Maintaining strong health and safety standards on site
* Overseeing quality control and commissioning preparation
* Managing RAMS, progress reporting and project documentation
* Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
* Working closely with the client team and main contractor
* Providing regular progress updates to senior management
Essential Experience
* Mechanical Building Services background
* Strong knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting and HVAC installations
* Experience delivering mechanical installation projects within commercial, healthcare or refurbishment environments
* Experience managing subcontractors and installation teams
* Strong organisational and communication skills
This role would suit candidates currently working as:
Mechanical Site Manager, Mechanical Supervisor, Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Installation Manager, Mechanical Contracts Engineer, M&E Project Manager (Mechanical Bias).
Remuneration Package – Mechanical Project Manager / Mechanical Site Manager
* £65,000 – £80,000
