Head of Studio
Location: Fully Remote (UK-based)
Salary: £70,000 – £75,000
We’re working with a fast-growing global marketing agency that delivers end-to-end creative and technology-led marketing solutions for some of the world’s biggest B2B and B2C brands. They combine strategy, design, and data-driven execution to help enterprise clients accelerate growth and achieve measurable impact.
As Head of Studio, you’ll play a key leadership role overseeing three Programme Directors, each managing their own project delivery teams. This is a senior position within the agency, responsible for operational excellence, resource planning, profitability, and the ongoing development of a high-performing, collaborative culture. You’ll build and optimise workflows, manage the studio’s financial health, and create scalable, tech-enabled processes to support long-term growth and delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a high-performing studio function, including three Programme Directors and their project teams.
* Take ownership of complex, multi-channel client portfolios, ensuring delivery excellence across creative, digital, and technical projects.
* Build and optimise workflows, manage financial health (P&L, budgeting, forecasting), and oversee delivery across multiple teams and clients.
* Drive innovation through the adoption of emerging technology and automation tools to improve workflow efficiency, project visibility, and overall delivery performance.
* Create and implement scalable processes that enhance quality, reduce bottlenecks, and improve collaboration across departments.
* Act as a cultural leader, inspiring collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across all teams.
* Oversee resource planning and recruitment, including building and maintaining a pool of trusted freelance talent.
* Partner with the Managing Director to align operational performance with strategic business goals.
* Use data and insights to inform decision-making, improve utilisation, and enhance delivery outcomes.
About You
* Proven experience in a senior operational or studio management role within a marketing, creative, or digital agency.
* Experience managing large, multi-discipline delivery teams and working with global B2B tech or consumer brands.
* Strong commercial understanding, with hands-on experience in P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability management.
* Deep knowledge of process optimisation, workflow management, and resource allocation across multiple project streams.
* Confident using modern collaboration and project management tools such as Jira, Monday.com, Asana, Smartsheet, or similar.
* Skilled in stakeholder management and comfortable operating at leadership level.
* Data-oriented, highly organised, and passionate about driving efficiency and continuous improvement through technology and automation.
