Job Description
Key responsibilities of a Night Care Assistant:
1. Night-time reassurance: Providing a calming presence for clients who may feel anxious, confused or lonely during the night.
2. Bedtime and morning routines: Assisting with evening winding-down (undressing, washing) and helping the client start their day with dignity in the morning.
3. Personal care: Supporting with bathroom visits and personal hygiene throughout the night, ensuring the client's comfort and skin integrity.
4. Medication support: Assisting with evening or early morning medication reminders.
5. Monitoring and safety: Keeping a watchful eye on clients with specialised needs, such as those living with Dementia, to prevent falls and nocturnal incidents.
6. Light housekeeping: During quieter moments (for waking nights), performing light housekeeping tasks to ensure the home is tidy and prepared for the client's morning.
Qualifications
We don't look for a specific qualification, but for a Night Care Assistant; experience in care is preferred. To be a good fit for our night team, you should be:
