Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit an excellent Teaching Assistant to work within a fantastic secondary school in the Bootle area!
The strongest applicant will have confidence in Mathematics, English and a subject of their choice whilst also working well with children.
Teaching Assistant
1. Location – Bootle, L20
2. Type of work – Long Term
3. Start date – June 2025
4. Contract type – Long-term Temporary
5. Full time/part time – Full time
6. Pay: Paid to scale
7. Hours – 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
8. Assisting with lessons: Helping to prepare materials, setting up equipment, and supporting students during activities.
9. Behaviour management: Helping to maintain a positive learning environment by addressing behavioural issues and encouraging good behaviour.
10. Marking and assessment: Assisting with the marking of students’ work and recording grades.
11. Record keeping: Maintaining records of students’ progress and any other relevant documentation.
12. Providing emotional support: Offering guidance and support to students who may be dealing with personal issues or stress.
13. Monitoring well-being: Keeping an eye on students’ overall well-being and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
14. Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent (Desirable)
15. Previous experience working with young people.
16. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
17. Hold Right to Work in the UK
18. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
19. Provide two professional references.
