Apollo Home Healthcare are seeking a team of experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a gentleman with his complex care needs on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis.
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.
Meet our service user
Our service user is a very sociable guy in his 30’s who lives at home with his loving family in Darlington and requires support with his complex care needs throughout the day.
He enjoys spending time with his family and having lots of interaction with his care team, loves to access the community such as going bowling, to the cinema and having trips out to the seaside.
At home he enjoys listening to music and stories as well as engaging in sensory based activities.
Throughout the day on a 2:1 basis your role will be to support with his daily tasks, such as washing, dressing, moving, and handling, attending to his clinical care needs when required and assisting him to enjoy his hobbies and interests.
Our service user is none verbal and communicates through a variety of methods such as facial expressions and body language. It is important you become familiar with his methods of communication to ensure his needs and wants are met. Patience and understanding are key qualities for this role.
We are also offering all new candidates a £150 Welcome Bonus

Essential Experience Required
1. 3 months previous care experience
2. Medication Administration
3. Personal Care
4. Moving and Handling
Desirable Experience
5. Tracheostomy Care
6. Ventilation Management
7. Nebuliser Care
8. Oral Suction
9. Gastrostomy Care (PEG Feeding)
10. Seizure Management
Shifts Available
11. Full Time Days Available- 36 hours per week
12. 8:00am - 8:00pm
13. Alternate weekends are needed for this position
Please note that training will be provided locally
Take a look at our pay rates
Weekdays: £12.00 per hour (Approx. £144.00 per 12-hour shift)
Weekends: £12.75 per hour (Approx. £153.00 per 12-hour shift)
Bank Holidays: £15.50 per hour (Approx. £186.00 per 12-hour shift)
