Alex Monroe is seeking a skilled bench jeweller with a meticulous eye for detail to join our busy Production Team!
We are looking for a Bench Jeweller who is confident in working in batches and can deliver exceptional work to our high quality control standards whilst managing delivery deadlines. A good team player with a pro-active approach to learning and sharing skills and techniques which will contribute to the teams success.
Youll be a great fit for us if you
 1. 2 -3 years of benchwork experience in a production workshop.
 2. Educated to degree level or relevant qualification in jewellery manufacturing.
 3. Demonstrable experience of producing jewellery in a commercial workshop environment.
 4. Responsible and well organised - the role-holder will need to keep track of their orders whilst they are at the platers or setters and ensure that all is completed on time.
 5. A meticulous eye for detail and working to specification as each piece of jewellery is hand finished in our London workshop.
 6. Reliable, responsible and organised with good time management is essential.
 7. Enthusiastic, positive with a creative approach and a passion for jewellery and the Alex Monroe brand.
 8. A self-starter who can work autonomously and use their own initiative, but also works well as part of a team when required.
 9. Team player who will go the extra mile to help a colleague.
Unfortunately, this role is not suitable for a graduate on this occasion!
Specific Responsibilities
 10. To report to the Production Manager daily and work through the orders set within the time frame according to specification and to a high quality.
 11. Responsibilities will include: General bench work such as re-sizing rings, assembly, re-texturing, riveting, beading, wire work, polishing and quality control Seeing individual orders through all stages of making Working mainly with silver Cleaning up castings Soldering Use of the puk welder & laser welder Stone setting would be an advantage Opportunities to expand into working with fine gold
 12. Anticipate as early as possible any potential production issues and delays and report to the production managers.
 13. If required, provide production support to the Design department and Repairs department.
General
 14. Assisting with general Workshop upkeep on a daily basis and running the occasional errand.
 15. Willingness to take on responsibility for certain Workshop operations.
 16. Taking part in company events when help is required, eg Jewellery School, PR & client events.
