Overview
LTE Group has an exciting opportunity to join our Infrastructure team as an experienced Office 365 Administrator on a full‑time, permanent basis working at our Manchester office on a hybrid basis.
Role Responsibilities
* Office 365 Administration: Manage the Office 365 tenant, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, and other related applications. Configure settings, create and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions, and ensure optimum system performance.
* User Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert‑level support to end‑users with issues related to Office 365 applications, including email, file sharing, video conferencing, and collaboration tools. Diagnose problems, resolve incidents, and escalated complex issues as needed.
* Security and Compliance: Implement and monitor security policies and compliance controls within Office 365, such as data loss prevention, multi‑factor authentication, and conditional access. Stay current with industry best practices and Microsoft's evolving security landscape.
* System Upgrades and Feature Deployments: Evaluate, deploy, and support new features, updates, and integrations within the Office 365 ecosystem. Test updates, plan rollouts, and ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
* Migration and Integration: Plan and execute migrations from on‑premises systems or legacy platforms to Office 365, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime. Integrate Office 365 with other IT systems and third‑party applications as required.
* Monitoring and Reporting: Utilise administrative dashboards and reporting tools to monitor system health, usage statistics, and compliance posture. Generate regular reports for management and technical teams.
* Documentation and Training: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures. Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to help users make the most of Office 365 tools.
* Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with IT colleagues, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure Office 365 solutions align with business requirements. Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities to improve system performance, enhance security, and increase user adoption. Stay abreast of the latest developments in Office 365 and cloud technologies.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
* Minimum 3-5 years hands‑on experience as an Office 365 administrator or in a similar IT systems administration role
* Expert knowledge of Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and related security features
* Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, networking fundamentals, and identity management (Azure AD)
* Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and advanced configuration tasks
* Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues within Office 365
* Ability to plan and execute email and data migrations, tenant‑to‑tenant moves, and hybrid deployments
* Familiarity with security concepts, compliance standards (GDPR, ISO 27001), and best practices for protecting cloud data
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Professional certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator Associate, or equivalent are highly desirable
