You'll work closely with the Group Financial Controller to ensure accurate, timely information and help drive informed commercial decision making.Support a well-controlled month-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate reporting and strong audit trailsAssist with the preparation of statutory accounts under UK GAAP / IFRS across the UK and selected European entitiesAct as the key contact for external auditors and tax advisers, coordinating audit activity and resolving queriesPlay a central role in delivering a smooth and efficient annual audit processSupport with corporation tax computations and liaise with external advisorsOversee the submission of VAT and ICP returnsReview and maintain control over key balance sheet areas, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and intercompany balancesHelp strengthen and improve financial controls, processes and documentationSupport ad-hoc financial analysis, projects and evolving reporting requirementsLead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with budget holdersIdentify risks and opportunities within forecasts and provide clear, actionable insightsAssist with other regulatory and compliance reporting as requiredSkills & Requirements:Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA,ACA) with 2-3 years post qualification experienceStrong audit backgroundSolid understanding of UK accounting principlesWorking knowledge of UK corporation tax and VATStrong attention to detail and a robust approach to controlsConfident communicator, able to engage effectively with external and internal stakeholdersWhat's on Offer?35 hour working weekHybrid working (3 days in office)Modern, newly renovated offices with outdoor spacesEasily accessible by car from Newport (10mins), Cardiff (20mins) & Bristol (40mins) with ample onsite parkingAdditional employee benefitsRobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
