Contract: 1 year fixed-term contract, full time (40 hours per week + occasional overtime)
Salary: £25,750 per annum

Role specification
As a Conservation Operative, you’ll work as part of our northern team delivering a variety of conservation projects. This is a hands-on role, requiring physical fitness, attention to detail, and a commitment to health and safety.
Your work will include:
* Carrying out day to day conservation land management activities on various habitat sites.
* Following to all site health and safety requirements including risk assessments as directed by site supervisors.
* Working alongside supervisors to ensure practical works are delivered on time and to a high standard.
* This role will involve travel to sites across the country and occasional overnight stays.
Essential elements
* Experience of working outdoors and carrying out practical works.
* Some experience of working in the conservation sector (through a degree, work placement or volunteering).
* Physically fit and comfortable working in all weather conditions.
* A self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic.
* Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
* Ability to work away on occasion.

* Chainsaw ticket
* Pesticide spraying (PA1 & PA6AW) ticket
* Brushcutter ticket
* Plant and machinery experience
* First Aid +F
